The Maltese word ramel means sand. Ramla Bay is the largest sandy beach in Gozo. It's also called Ramla l-hamra which translates to red sand. A wonderful colour, especially at dawn!

Oh, how I miss getting to a beach . . this is so relaxing just to look at the pic . . can hear that little rivulet trickling to the sea . .
